Our Father- Edward W. Johnson
The Flowing Well is more than a nonprofit—it is a deeply personal, family-led mission born from both heartbreak and hope. For over a decade, this family has championed elder abuse and exploitation awareness, securing local government proclamations in communities to bring visibility to a growing, often hidden crisis.
The organization was formed after a deeply tragic and personal experience. Edward W. Johnson the family’s beloved father was poisoned in Florida—a heartbreaking case that also involved a family trust being changed three times in just ten months. This devastating loss exposed the harsh realities of elder exploitation and the gaps in systems meant to protect our aging loved ones. From that moment, the family vowed to turn their grief into purpose, launching The Flowing Well to help other families avoid similar pain.
Through this lens, the importance of their work becomes even clearer. What began as a personal tragedy has grown into a statewide and regional movement—one that educates, advocates, and empowers communities to stand against elder abuse. Their story is one of resilience, love, and relentless dedication.
